Friday Jazz at Manresa Castle!

Live Music is back & Olympic Peninsula Jazz vocalist Jean Lenke launches the start of a "Friday Night Jazz Series" at The Manresa Castle in Port Townsend starting this coming Friday, July 2nd, 6-9 pm. George Radebaugh, piano & Chuck Easton, guitar, will complete the Trio. With a beautifully smooth and soulful voice, Jean has been creating diverse music for many years in the Philadelphia area and has now made her home in Washington’s great northwest. As a performing artist, composer, lyricist, arranger and bandleader Jean’s fresh approach to Classic Jazz is influenced by an eclectic mix of the Classic Jazz Standards, Bossa Nova, Jazz-Folk & Blues, as well as new standards from the 60’s & 70's Pop & Jazz-Rock Fusion era of her own youth.
The Castle’s Friday Night Jazz Series focuses on Vocal Jazz, highlighting local and regional Jazz singers along with a varied cast of accompanying instrumentalists. Vocalists Tony Petrillo, Sarah Shea, Jenny Davis, Kim Maguire and more are slated to perform. Interested Jazz vocalists may inquire directly with Jean, @jeanlenkemusic, about booking.
